CPS -Complex Problem solving
We specialize in complex problem solving, using a data-driven and collaborative approach to identify and tackle even the most difficult issues..
“Everything is conditional. We just don’t know what the conditions are.”
Dr. Gregory House
CPS is more than a consultancy, a new craft that understands the complexity of today’s situations. We have experienced professionals in strategy, social science, data science, technology, creativity, storytelling and more.
We work efficiently in environments where we can access decision-makers without scheduling problems and we are able to fearlessly embrace uncertainty, regardless of the situation your company is in.
In addition to having a radically different methodology, at Farhaon we offer our clients a relationship model based on the achievement of business objectives, with rewards dependent on success indicators for both us and our clients.
Consulting vs CPS (Complex Problem Solving)
Complex problem solving and consulting are related, but they are not the same thing.
Complex problem solving refers to the ability to analyze, understand, and solve complex problems, often involving multiple factors and stakeholders. This can include identifying the root cause of a problem, developing and evaluating potential solutions, and implementing and monitoring the chosen solution. Complex problem solving requires a deep understanding of the problem domain, as well as critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills.
Consulting, on the other hand, is a profession that involves providing expert advice and guidance to organizations, often on a specific issue or project. Consultants work with clients to identify problems or opportunities, develop solutions or strategies, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful implementation. Consulting can involve many different areas of expertise, including management, finance, marketing, and technology.
While complex problem solving is often a critical component of consulting, consulting involves a broader set of skills and activities beyond just problem solving. Consultants also need to be able to communicate effectively, manage projects, build relationships with clients, and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
CPS (Complex Problem Solving)
CPS focuses on problem solving in complex environments. Any problem is likely to become complex depending on the context in which it develops.
In an increasingly complicated world, where uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity of conditions and situations, problems become more and more complex. Boundaries are not well defined in today’s problems, so the approach to them and the way they are tackled must be modified.
Such problems arise in complex contexts and when some of these circumstances are present:
- The root causes of the problem are not very clear.
- The requirements and information available is incomplete, contradictory or changing depending on the person providing it.
- Different stakeholders with different or even conflicting visions and objectives are present.
- There is no optimal solution.
- Those most responsible are not identified or, if they exist, they are not interested in doing something to arrive at a solution.
- Negative feedback occurs: the longer it takes to intervene, the more complex the problem and the solution become.
